We pride ourselves on providing organic, fair trade coffee. The certifications and special labels on coffee today grew out of two concerns: For the people who produce it and for the environment.
All Diving Duck coffee is Certified Organic by the Washington State Dept. of Agriculture.
Certified organic coffee is grown with emphasis on the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality. Certified organic coffee is grown without the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers, thereby assuring the health of the soil, the forest and the farmers.
Just as a local farmers market creates a connection to the people who grow our food, our broker (royal Coffee) connects you to coffee farmers who are paid a fair, stable, and predictable price for their coffee beans, and receive additional profits after the coffee is sold so they can provide for their families while continuing to invest in the quality of their crops.
In addition to offering the best coffee beans in the state, we provide a variety of coffee based energy beverages and we willl be adding sweet food options that pair well with a robust cup of premium coffee.
Roast: French (Quite Dark)
In a word, dark. In two words, extremely dark. This blend boasts a bold roast character. The levels of acid and caffeine are both reduced by such a dark roast.
Starting May 1, 2020 our coffee beans will be available at a members' price and delivered in a CSA fashion
Initially it will be available for pick-up at local farmers markets through the summer with winter pick-up locations to be annonced by mid summer.
